Yuvraj Singh has been a legend of the game. He set the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in 2007 on fire with his swashbuckling performance. In the semi-finals of the competition against mighty Australia, the southpaw struck a monstrous six ranging 119 m off Brett Lee's bowling.

It has been more than 15 years since the event took place and no player has hit a maximum longer than Yuvraj’s in T20 World Cups. However, there are some prominent power hitters in the T20I circuit that can surpass the 119 m mark in the upcoming T20 extravaganza in Australia.

Let us look at the players who can break Yuvraj's record during the T20 World Cup 2022:

5. Rovman Powell (West Indies)

Rovman Powell has been a renowned name in the T20 circuit. Known for his big-hitting prowess, he can dismantle any bowling attack on his day. In the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League, he showed his batting might scoring  250 runs in 14 games and striking 22 sixes in that process.

Powell also smashed a jaw-dropping maximum of 102 m against Sunrisers Hyderabad’s speedster Umran Malik during the season. He has publicly stated that he has been aiming to hit the ball close to 130 m. The power-hitter is a brutal batter, akin to the Andre Russell mould and has the ability to reach his goal.

Moreover, Powell has been in top form of late. In the Caribbean Premier League 2022, he scored 281 runs in 13 matches for Jamaica Tallawahs and hit 20 magnificent sixes. He is heading into the T20 World Cup in astonishing form and might be the one to break Yuvraj’s record of the longest six.
