4. Deepak Hooda

Deepak Hooda has had a stellar year in the T20 circuit. He featured for Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL and scored 451 runs at a strike rate of 136.67. He made his T20I debut this year and since then he has performed as and when required by the Men in Blue. In his short career, the batting allrounder has been striking at 157.61.

Despite all the accolades, the 27-year-old might still be in the position to lose his World Cup spot. The majority of Hooda’s incredible outings with the bat have come at the top of the order where India already faces a lock jam. With the likes of Rohit, Kohli, Suryakumar, and Hardik Pandya in the mix, the Rohtak-born needs to slot in at the lower-middle order where he has not been tested that often.

Hooda is currently playing at the ongoing multi-nation tournament in UAE. He had to slot in at No.7 in a full-strength batting lineup against Pakistan and the batter did not have a great outing. The promising all-rounder might lose his place if he is not able to make most of the chances.
