3. Chris Woakes

Chris Woakes has been a proven performer in the shortest format of the game. He has featured in 22 T20Is and taken 23 wickets at an economy of 7.79. He is no muck with the bat and has been striking at 145.78 for England.

The veteran pacer was entrusted to provide breakthroughs with the new ball at the global event but he has been at his best. When England locked horns with Afghanistan, Woakes did a decent job giving just 24 runs in a full quota of four overs and taking a wicket. But in the second game against Ireland, he was completely dismantled as he leaked 41 runs in three overs.

The 33-year-old has not been penetrative with the ball and the lone wicket that he has taken in this competition was at the fag end of the innings. Given he conceded heaps of runs against Andrew Balbirnie & Co, Jos Buttler could look to draft David Willey in his place for the following matches.
