1. Pat Cummins
Pat Cummins is one of the best fast bowlers in Test cricket at the moment. However, the 29-year-old has not been able to have the same success in the shortest format of the game. In the ongoing T20 carnival as well, he has struggled to find his groove and conceded a lot of runs.
The veteran pacer was all over the place in the inaugural game of the T20 World Cup against New Zealand and leaked 46 runs in four overs. Though Cummins took a wicket when Australia clashed with Sri Lanka, he gave away runs at an economy rate of 9.00. Given the ace pacer's mediocre outings, the team management could ponder over his place in the side.
Australia have a top-quality pace option in Kane Richardson in their squad. The veteran pacer has played a total of 153 T20 games and taken 199 wickets at an economy of 8.02. He is a typical T20 bowler with a lot of variations up his sleeves and also has an excellent yorker at his disposal. He could be looked at to replace out-of-form Cummins in the starting XI.
