4. Naseem Shah (PAK)
Naseem Shah has been among the emerging stars in Pakistan Cricket. He has the ability to clock speeds of over 145 kmph on a consistent basis and has rattled batters with his express pace. Having made his international debut in 2019, the Peshwar-born showed in the 2022 season of the Pakistan Super League that he can also deliver the goods in the shortest format.
The 19-year-old played 10 games for Quetta Gladiators and took 14 wickets at an economy of 8.01. The Men in Green picked Naseem for this year’s Asia Cup and the youngster delivered the goods with the ball. In the absence of pace-spearhead Shaheen Afridi, he gave Pakistan an ideal start with the ball.
Naseem picked seven scalps in five games and was instrumental in Pakistan reaching the finals of the Asian tournament. The T20 World Cup is being held in Australia which is considered a pacer's paradise and the speedster can prove quite lethal with the ball in those seam-friendly conditions. He has shown immense skills in the international arena and is touted to be the next big thing in Pakistan Cricket.
