3. Najmul Hossain Shanto

Najmul Hossain Shanto made his international debut in a Test fixture against New Zealand in 2017. He went on to feature in the other two formats in the subsequent years and has done well in patches. The reason behind his call-up is his impressive First-Class record.

With 18 fifties and ten centuries, Shanto has aggregated 3968 runs in 62 First-Class matches and exhibited the ability to string quality partnerships against the new ball and set up a platform for the middle-order. The recent T20I tri-series in New Zealand witnessed Shanto contribute 56 runs in three innings, while registering 33 as his highest individual score.

Although it will be the first T20 World Cup appearance for the youngster, he surely can handle tough situations given his past performances. In 12 T20Is, he has accumulated 204 runs and can be helpful for the team in providing good starts to their innings.
