Afghanistan - 6.5/10
Bowling has been Afghanistan’s primary strength ever since they started playing international cricket. However, the shift is currently changing. Batters have started to take responsibility but the same doesn't stand true for their finishers.
Mohammad Nabi, the captain of the ship is in terrible form at the moment. In the year 2022, the 37-year-old has played 15 T20 internationals and batted at an average of 13.27. Known as a striker of the cricket ball, the 37-year-old has a strike rate of just 115.87 in 2022 thus far. Stats say that his form has dropped but one still can’t rule him out. After all, he has an overall strike rate of over 140 in T20I cricket.
Batting at number five, Najibullah Zadran has done well in the recent past. In the 14 innings that he has batted in 2022, the 29-year-old has scored 327 runs at a strike rate of 149.31. Now, with Nabi out of form at the moment, Zadran will have to take some extra responsibility as Azmatullah Omarzai, another lower-order batter is yet to show his calibre in international cricket.
