England - 7.5/10

With just a few more days left for the T20 World Cup to begin, England look the most sorted team at the moment. Even though Jonny Bairstow has been ruled out of the tournament, the Jos Buttler-led side is relaxed and have replaced Bairstow with another hard-hitter in the form of Alex Hales.

Ever since England have changed their approach in white-ball cricket, they fear no opponent. Over the years, they have developed multiple players in the squad who can finish games for them in style. However, it’s Liam Livingstone and Moeen Ali, who will be their designated finishers during the mega event.

The 29-year-old Liam Livingstone is likely to bat at number five and is known to smoke the ball miles in T20 cricket. However, his numbers this year are pretty average. In the year 2022, Livingstone has played nine T20 internationals and batted at a strike rate of 128.88.

Now, even though the strike rate could be ignored for a minute, an average of just 16.60 is very substandard. The all-rounder is currently injured and Moeen Ali feels that he (Livingstone) will be a bit undercooked leading into the T20 World Cup.

However, Moeen is in the right rhythm going into the World Cup. The 35-year-old has played 17 T20Is for England in the year 2022 and has an average of 33.66 in the process. With a strike rate of 164.89, he has been a very tough player to bowl at.

The all-rounder can also play with complete freedom as Sam Curran and Chris Jordan, the players who follow him in the batting order have the ability to bat well too. Thus, expect Moeen Ali to express himself in the global tournament.
