7. Afghanistan : 6.5/10

Afghanistan will be led by Mohammad Nabi in the marquee tournament. The Afghan side have many proven performers of the T20 circuit and has the ability to give top-ranked nations a run for their money. At the top of the order, they have the explosiveness of Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Hazratullah Zazai, and Usman Ghani.

Afghanistan have Ibrahim Zadran and Najibullah Zadran to provide solidity in the middle order. Their fire-power at the lower middle-order is a bit of a concern with Nabi who is not in the best of batting forms of late whereas Azmatullah Omarzai has not established himself as a proven performer in the international arena.

The main weapon of Afghanistan has been their spinners and the same will be the case heading into the World Cup. The trio of Nabi, Rashid Khan, and Mujeeb ur Rahman are giants of the game in the shortest format and have the ability to thrive even in Australian Conditions. The spinners will have a task cut out as they might need to cover for the inexperienced pace attack of the Blue Tigers.
