5. Australia - (Matthew Wade, Josh Inglis) - 7.5/10
Matthew Wade is Australia’s first-choice wicket-keeper in the shortest format. The swashbuckling batter plays as a designated finisher in the star-studded Australian lineup. He has also opened the batting for the Aussies in the past and gives an extra option at the top.
In 65 T20Is, Wade has accumulated 916 runs at a strike rate of 133.72. He has played many crucial knocks for his side and also was the hero with the bat in last year’s T20 World Cup semi-finals against Pakistan where he scored a blistering knock of 41* runs in 17 balls to take his side home. Coming to his keeping skills, the 34-year-old is rarely seen dropping a catch and is quite fast at stumping. The veteran keeper has 44 dismissals to his name in the T20Is which include four stumpings.
Josh Inglis is the second wicket-keeper for the defending T20 World champions. He has been part of eight T20Is and has scored 196 runs at a strike rate of 146.26. He has shown his ability to bat at different positions and adds flexibility to the batting lineup. He has kept wickets in just a lone T20I game and he will likely be asked to don the gloves only when Wade is absent due to some reason.
