6. Shikhar Dhawan - Punjab Kings

Shikhar Dhawan has been a run machine in the Indian Premier League. He has scored runs for fun and is the second in the list of top-run getters of all time as far as the lucrative T20 tournament is concerned. The southpaw has accumulated a total of 6244 runs in 206 games at a strike rate of 126.35.

Dhawan had an excellent outing for the Punjab Kings in IPL 2022 as he scored 460 runs at a strike rate of 122.67. The ace batter was a rock at the top of the order and was excellent in shepherding the innings for his side. The India batter was tasked to hold the innings together in a power-packed Punjab line-up and he did it really well.

Despite his consistent performances in IPL, Dhawan has failed to make a comeback to India’s T20 setup. The 36-year-old is still a preferred opener in 50-overs cricket for India but KL Rahul’s exponential rise in the shortest format has kept the 36-year-old out of the side.
