6. Naseem Shah
Naseem Shah has been phenomenal in the limited opportunities he has got in T20Is. He made his T20I debut in the Asia Cup itself and picked up seven wickets in five matches. He was economical with the ball and can also swing his willow if needed. His back-to-back sixes against Afghanistan in the final over of the Super 4 clash helped Pakistan qualify for the finals of the competition.
In Australia, where wickets traditionally assist pacers, who bend their backs, Naseem can be a huge threat. His numbers in domestic T20 leagues don’t do justice to his potential though. In the 50 matches that he has featured in, Naseem has only claimed 51 wickets and that too at an eyebrow raising economy rate of 8.12.
However, Pakistan will back the youngster because of his recent terrific form. His performance against England in the upcoming series will be closely monitored too as he has set the bar high for himself. With Shaheen Afridi coming back for the global event, Naseem might have to fight for his spot in the XI.
