2. Ramandeep Singh (Mumbai Indians)

After representing Punjab in domestic cricket for more than five years, the middle-order batter Ramandeep Singh got a place in the Mumbai Indians’ 2022 squad at his base price of INR 20 lakhs. In the team, the youngster was given the responsibility to play the role of a finisher by playing some blistering knocks towards the fag end of the innings.

Appearing in MI colours in five games during the 2022 edition, he couldn’t fulfill the requirements of the team and scored only 45 runs. He looked pretty ordinary with the bat and couldn't play to his potential.

With the ball, he bagged six wickets and spent 54 runs at an economy of 9.00. He has made it to the list of MI’s retained players despite his unsuccessful first season. The Punjab cricketer can certainly do better for the team in the upcoming season. With Pollard’s retirement, he will have the opportunity to excel in a similar role.
