9. Dwaine Pretorius (Chennai Super Kings)
After doing well in T20 internationals consistently, Dwaine Pretorius, last year, got an IPL contract from Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Looking at his past diligent efforts with the ball for his national team South Africa, CSK played him in six games of the competition, but the South African stalwart was unable to perform as per requirements.
In the absence of Deepak Chahar, the team gave him a chance to strengthen the bowling unit. With just six wickets at an ordinary economy of 10.00, he disappointed the CSK owners and supporters.
The 33-year-old can also bat in the lower order and has the ability to win games with the bat too. But he couldn't deliver with the bat either. With just 44 runs at an average of 11.00, he couldn’t bring joy to the team. But CSK despite not getting the desired results from the bowling all-rounder have reposed their faith in him ahead of the next season.
