Three bowlers from T20 World Cup 2022 Mumbai Indians might bid for in IPL 2023 auction

The lack of bite in Mumbai’s bowling was one of the reasons for their disastrous IPL campaign in 2022. With the next season in sight, the think tank would look to make some personnel changes.

1. Adam Zampa

Adam Zampa has been a match-winner for Australia in the shortest format of the game. He has featured in 70 T20Is and bagged 78 wickets at an impressive economy of 6.99. The 30-year-old has been a strike force in the middle phases of the game and has delivered the goods time and time again.

The veteran spinner has proven to be a tough customer to get away with subtle changes of pace and variations. Zampa has shown his mettle in IPL too and has taken 21 wickets at an economy of 7.74. He is a genuine wicket-taker and the most successful IPL franchise might look to add him to their arsenal.

The spin department of the Mumbai Indians comprises Murugan Ashwin, Hrithik Shokeen and Mayank Markande. The trio did not pose a significant threat to the opposition in the previous season and thus, the inclusion of Zampa could add the much-needed venom to their spin attack.
