5. Autobiography of Shoaib Akhtar's: Controversially Yours

Shoaib Akhtar's autobiography 'Controversially Yours' was originally released on September 16, 2011. The book at the time of its release garnered plenty of eyeballs because of the media hype it got especially in India and Pakistan.

The book takes the reader into the world of a young Shoaib who was on the verge of dying due to whooping cough. How Shoaib who terrorized batters around the world as he steamed in from the top of his mark couldn't even walk properly at a tender age.

Shoaib in his book has opened up on his struggles as a young boy as his family was marred with destitution but despite that how his parents worked extremely hard to arrange for two square meals a day and instilled upright values in him and his siblings. The book talks about how Shoaib was inspired by Imran Khan, who led Pakistan to the 1992 World Cup win. And how watching the likes of Imran, Wasim Akram, and Waqar Younis practice under lights at the Pindi Stadium made his desire to play the sport extremely robust.
