4. Autobiography of Steve Waugh: Out Of My Comfort Zone

‘Out of my comfort Zone’ is the autobiography of Steve Waugh fondly known as 'The Iceman'. In his autobiography, Steve speaks about how success never really came easy to him and he had to grind it out for the same. Steve opens up about the struggles he endured as a youngster after making his international debut, aged 20, and how he had to keep improving to make sure he cemented his place in the side.

His autobiography eases the reader into the life of an international cricketer on tour. The on-field heated exchanges, bonding with mates, blow-ups, the unrelenting pressure to perform and keep performing to make sure you don't lose your place in the side, Steve's book is a prized possession for a cricket nerd who feeds on everything cricket.

One of the lesser-known facts about his autobiography is that the former Australia skipper requested India's batting legend, Rahul Dravid, to write the foreword of his book. In one of the shocking revelations made in the book, Steve alleges how the former Pakistan skipper tried to bribe some of the Australian players to underperform. The late Australian great Shane Warne had also opened up on the incident when as per Warne, Malik had offered him and Tim May $200,000 to bowl wide of the stumps and try not to take any wickets on Day 5 of the 1994 Test in Karachi.

Steve Waugh’s autobiography was published in the year 2005.
