3. Autobiography of Wasim Akram's: A Memoir

Wasim Akram's autobiography 'Sultan: A Memoir' was released on December 22, 2022. The book gives a detailed description of Akram's life between the 22 yards and beyond it. The highlights of the book happens to be his addiction to a stimulant and how it aggravated and reached a point where it became impossible for him to socialize without it during his county stints in England.

The book also gives insights into how his ex-wife, Huma, helped him to battle the addiction. Sultan reveals how Wasim Akram had to stay in a rehabilitation center in Lahore against his will for a period of two and a half months.

The book also describes Akram's struggles during his initial days in the Pakistan dressing room. How he was asked by his senior in the team Saleem Malik to clean his boots and clothes. Wasim also mentions how Ramiz Raja just because of his father's influence stood in the slip cordon and not because he was good at it. In one of the other eye-popping revelations, the book talks about how former wicket-keeper and batter, Rashid Latif, and opener, Aamir Sohail were always into lobbying.
