Cricket Australia have shuffled and shown their faith in several young players in the past few years. While some failed to show enough consistency to remain in the good books of the selectors, only a few have managed to grab a lot of eyeballs for their exceptional abilities on the field both with the bat or the ball. One such prime example was the rising star batter, Will Pucovski.

Notably, he was tipped to the future of the Australian cricket, however, constant injuries and some mental health issues. The youngster had showed some batting brilliance while on debut for Australia against India in 2021, where he scored an impressive 62 runs in the first innings. But his career suffered a setback after in 2022, he decided to take a break from cricket the following year.

As it is things were not looking nice for the young prodigy, when he finally returned to play the game again, he suffered concussion injury on several occasions after getting hit by the ball on his head viciously. Consequently, Pucovski, aged 26, took the big step of bidding adieu to cricket, leaving fans and cricket experts startled on his untapped potential had injury had not cut short his blooming career.
