3. Mohammad Ashraful

The first superstar of Bangladesh Cricket, Mohammad Ashraful set foot on the international stage in April 2001. Later in the same year, he became the youngest player (17 years and 61 days) to hit a hundred on his Test debut, during a knock of 114 against Sri Lanka. He then displayed consistency in both formats and cemented his place on the national side.

Ashraful returned with a knock of 100 in June 2005 to secure their first and only victory in the ODI format against Australia, which made him an overnight hero. He made sure to contribute to the team in most occasions, irrespective of the format. Furthermore, the talented batter captained the team from 2007 to 2009 in Tests and ODIs.

It was in 2013, wherein his career took a drastic turn after he admitted to match-fixing in Bangladesh Premier League. He was then banned for eight years by Bangladesh Cricket Board. Ashraful currently features in domestic cricket, with a hope of a national recall.
