Ruturaj Gaikwad has been excellent for CSK since joining the franchise in IPL 2020. In 52 matches, Gaikwad has 1797 runs with one century and 14 fifties. He also has a score of 99 to his name. He averages 39.06 and strikes at 135.52. He has even shined for the Indian side in limited overs, scoring a century against Australia in T20Is recently.
Apart from his batting, Gaikwad is touted as the next captain of the CSK franchise. The Maharashtra batter has ample leadership experience in domestic cricket. He also captained India to the Asian Games gold medal last year and is also a candidate for India's captaincy in the coming time.
