Top 5 batters who might be highest run-getters in 2024

2023 Saw several players breaking records and raking up runs across formats. There were a total of 11 players who scored more than 1500 runs in the last calendar year. Multiple records were made and multiple were broken by the batters in the last year and so would be expected this year as well. Indian batters dominated the last season, occupying three of the top five positions last year. They would be looking forward to a replica of the same this year as well. With the T20I World Cup approaching, the batters must be geared up to give their best and put up a great show with the bat. He is undoubtedly the ‘Run Machine’, which he is famously regarded as. He amassed an astonishing total of 2048 runs in the last year across formats where he played a total of 35 matches and had an average of 66.06. Currently, he has been out of competitive cricket due to unknown personal reasons but would be expected to come back soon and start scoring heavily for the team. He was phenomenal last year and a key behind India’s success in the 2023 World Cup in reaching the finals as he played several heroic knocks. During the fag end of the year, he smashed a sensational century in the T20Is as well which broke multiple records. He smashed a total of 1800 runs from 39 innings of 35 matches where he struck four centuries and 11 half-centuries last year.
