It is almost impossible to make a list of the most runs in any event without the mention of the God of Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar. He was consistent not only in the tournaments but in the knockouts as well. Tendulkar was involved in two prolific ICC events where India emerged as champions in the 2002 Champions Trophy and 2011 World Cup.

He was also the highest run-getter and Player of the Series in the 2003 World Cup where India was beaten by Australia. He has a brilliant record in the ICC knockout events, scoring 657 runs at an average of 50.53. These stats show why he is one of the greatest batters to ever play the game.
