4. Pakistan vs Bangladesh, Asia Cup 2014, Dhaka (329/7)
Hosts Bangladesh faced Pakistan in an Asia Cup 2014 fixture at Dhaka. The Men in Green were coming into this contest after a thrilling win over arch-rivals India a few days ago and they had an in-form Shahid Afridi who was playing game-changing knocks at will at that point in time.
Batting first Bangladesh posted a stiff total of 326/3 riding on a spectacular century from Anamul Haque. All the Bangladesh batters made merry on that flat surface and Pakistan had a daunting task ahead of them in order to make a solid statement before the final in a few days' time.
In reply, Ahmed Shehzad (103) and Mohammad Hafeez (52) added 97 runs for the opening stand, and even though Pakistan lost crucial wickets in the middle, Fawad Alam's 74 kept them in the hunt. However, it was Shahid Afridi's 25-ball 59 that proved to be the difference eventually. He also made the Bangladeshis pay for dropping him as the Men in Green got past the finish line by three wickets with a ball to spare.
