Bangladesh were at the receiving end of some excellent batting show from Sri Lanka in a must-win group game of the Asia Cup 2022. Tempers had already flared off the field and the game was set to be an exciting one.

After being invited to bat first, Bangladesh were on top of their game to post a brilliant total of 183 runs on the board in their 20 overs. Sri Lanka, in reply, weren't in a great position in the chase losing four wickets with just 77 runs on the board in the ninth over.

However, skipper Dasun Shanaka and the rest of the lower-order batters had some other ideas. They took the game deep and despite being 8 wickets down, managed to get over the line in the final over of the game. Bangladesh bowlers conceding around 17 extras including a no-ball in the last couple of overs also helped Sri Lanka as they scaled down the highest successfull chase in Asia Cup T20 history.
