Top 5 T20I performances by Bangladesh bowlers
There are many Bangladesh bowlers who have set the international circuit on fire with their incredible performances over the years.
4. Al-Amin Hossain vs Pakistan, Match 8, Mirpur, Asia Cup 2016
Bangladesh clashed with Pakistan in the eighth match of the Asia Cup 2016 in Mirpur. The Bangla Tigers came into this game after clinically defeating Sri Lanka and were looking as a contender for a spot in the finals. But to achieve the same, they had to surpass the Men in Green. Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi won the toss and elected to bat.
Bangladesh bowlers were up for the challenge and it was Al-Amin Hossain who led the way with the ball. He removed Khurram Manzoor in his very first over to provide his side a perfect start. Then in the 18th over of the innings, he just gave away four runs and removed Afridi who could have proven to be quite dangerous with the bat.
Al-Amin capped things off in style by grabbing Anwar Ali's wicket on the last ball of Pakistan's innings and ended with figures of 4-0-25-3. The Men in Green had to be content with just 129 runs on the board. Mortaza & co. achieved the modest target of 130 with five balls to spare. Soumya Sarkar (48 runs off 48 balls) was the top scorer for the Bangla Tigers and was adjudged the Player of the Match.
Courtesy of the win, Bangladesh entered the finals but unfortunately, lost the summit clash to India by eight wickets.
