The IPL is known for its Superstar culture, and those are the players who bring a lot of fans to the stadium. Be it MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, or Virat Kohli, these are the players who attract eyeballs and have a lot of following due to their excellent records over the last decade. This season, players like MS Dhoni, Rohit, Pant, and some other big-name players have not been able to perform to their standards, which is one of the reasons why the excitement has been a bit less.

Regular Indian players, who are part of the current Indian squads, have not been able to light up the season as well. Be it Abhishek Sharma, Shivam Dube, Nitish Reddy, Tilak Varma, or Hardik Pandya, no one has scored a half-century this season so far. These players need to step up not only to improve their teams' fortunes but also to make the game more entertaining.
