3. Annabel Sutherland
Annabel Sutherland had a game to remember against England. The young allrounder played a key role in Australia's win by scoring her first Test hundred. It was also her maiden century for Australia in international cricket. Playing just her third Test, the 21-year old scored 137 runs in the first innings.
The 400-run mark looked almost impossible for Australia after they were reduced to 238 for 6. However, Sutherland's century helped the visitors turn things around and finish their first innings with an imposing total of 473 - their third highest total in Tests.
Sutherland also shattered a couple of big records during her memorable knock. She broke the record for the fastest century in women's Tests. The highly-rated allrounder reached the triple-digit mark in 148 deliveries and broke the previous record of 156 deliveries held by Jill Kennare. Her 137-run knock is also the highest score by a No. 8 batter in women’s Tests, bettering Chamani Seneviratna’s 105 not out.
