Laura Wolvaardt has been a proven performer for South Africa across formats. The 23-year-old  has featured in 80 ODIs and scored 3193 runs at an average of 45.61. Coming to the shortest format, she has scored 1079 runs in 53 matches at a strike rate of 109.10.

Wolvaardt set the T20 World Cup 2023 ablaze with her stunning performances. The ace batter was the highest run-getter of the marquee tournament, with 230 runs in six games at an average of 46.00, which consisted of three half-centuries.

One of Wolvaardt’s prominent innings of the high-profile competition came in the semi-final encounter against England. She notched up a well-complied knock of 53 runs off 44 balls to provide her side with a solid start. The Milnerton-born was also brilliant in the final showdown against Australia, smashing a magnificent half-century. However, the knock did not prove to be enough to help her team ace the finals.
