6. Amy Hunter
Amy Hunter is an up and coming talent in Ireland’s cricketing circles. She has featured in 11 ODIs and scored 294 runs at a strike rate of 89.90. Talking about the shortest format, the 17-year-old has scored 239 runs in 17 matches at a strike rate of 91.22.
Hunter was in good touch leading into the T20 World Cup 2023. In the warm-up game against Australia, she took the attack to the opposition right from the get-go and smashed 26 runs off 14 balls. Therefore, it was anticipated that she would carry on the good work to the big stage.
However, it was not meant to be as Hunter had a horror show with the bat at the T20 carnival in South Africa. The wicketkeeper-batter featured in four games in the competition and could score mere 23 runs at a strike rate of 85.18.
