One of the biggest reasons why India is being considered favourites to continue their unbeaten run against Pakistan in the World Cup tournament is that the Men in Blue will be playing in front of their home crowd. There will be a massive number of Indian team fans in Narendra Modi Stadium when India and Pakistan clash. This means every four, every six and every wicket will be cheered loudly. This will put Pakistan under severe pressure from the get-go.

A sea of blue will engulf the 100,000-capacity stadium on October 14 giving Indian team support whenever they will be under pressure or feel challenged. To add to this, there will be two players Hardik Pandya and Shubman Gill, who have extensive experience playing in Ahmedabad as their IPL franchise Gujarat Titans has the Narendra Modi stadium as their home ground. This is a massive advantage that cannot be counted out, as they will help Rohit Sharma formulate plans and strategies correctly.

Pakistan last played an ODI in India in 2012-13 and any match in the 2016 T20 World Cup. They are yet to play in the new Ahmedabad stadium and it can be a bit intimidating experience to perform against India when they have such a huge support.
