5. England- 7/10
England are performing terribly in this competition under Jos Buttler. The defending champions began their tournament with a massive nine-wicket defeat at the hands of New Zealand. Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra stepped up in this contest and took England’s bowling unit to the cleaners and pulled off a fine total of 283 runs with 13.4 overs to spare.
Throughout this match, England fielders became spectators and saw their bowlers getting pounded by Conway and Ravindra. The English team looked confident against Bangladesh in their next game, registering a 137-run win. In this game, Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, and Adil Rashid provided support to the bowlers with their fine catches.
Against South Africa, England’s batting and bowling departments fell apart and faced a 229-run defeat. Only their fielders put up a decent show in this game. Jonny Bairstow took a couple of catches in this crucial contest while Livingstone took a marvellous catch at the backward point to help Gus Atkinson send Gerald Coetzee back to the dugout.
