New Zealand have kicked off their World Cup 2023 campaign positively, winning their first three games. Currently, the Black Caps are in second place on the points table with six points and their endeavours will be to continue their superb form and qualify for the knockout round.

In the maiden game in Ahmedabad, they outclassed the defending champions England by nine wickets. Bowling first after winning the toss, the Kiwi bowlers restricted the Jos Buttler-led side to a score of 282. The unsung hero of this amazing win was Matt Henry, who did tight bowling on the batting track and grabbed three wickets in his 10-over spell.

After pummelling England, New Zealand registered a 99-run win against the Netherlands in Hyderabad. In this comfortable triumph, New Zealand posted 322 runs on the board in 50 overs. Following the remarkable batting performance, the Kiwi side showcased its mettle with the ball as well. Mitchell Santner took a five-wicket haul while Matt Henry chipped in with three wickets again.
