1. Renuka Singh
Renuka Singh has been active in the international circuit since 2021. Within two years, she has become a vital cog in the national team due to her amazing fast bowling. Till now, the 27-year-old has fetched 49 wickets for India in 39 international games. Talking about her WT20I performance, the pacer has picked 31 scalps in 32 WT20Is, at an economy of 6.43.
At the player auction, her name was announced in the second round with her base price of INR 50 lakh. However, she was expected to grab the eyes of the buyers and that happened as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Gujarat Giants (GG), and DC raised their bidding paddles to reserve her services for the humongous T20 event in March.
In the end, RCB emerged victorious in the battle as they paid INR 1.5 crore from their wallet to acquire her. Recently, Renuka became the leading wicket-taker for India in the 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup as she took seven wickets in five contests at an economy of 6.58. However, the 27-year-old will endeavour to do better in the forthcoming WPL.
