3. Gujarat Giants - Georgia Wareham

Georgia Wareham’s stature in the international arena has increased manifold in the last couple of years. She can spin webs to trap opposition batters and has, thus, been Australia’s strike force with the ball. The 23-year-old has featured in 23 ODIs and bagged 24 wickets at an economy of 4.24. Talking about T20Is, she has taken 42 wickets in 40 games at an economy of 5.95.

Wareham displayed her class in the T20 World Cup 2023 as well. She bamboozled batters with her variations and wreaked havoc with the ball. The ace spinner played five games and picked up six scalps at an economy of 6.75, which includes a sensational three-wicket haul in the encounter against Bangladesh.

Wareham is a genuine wicket-taker and thus, Gujarat Giants signed her at the auction to acquire her services. She has been on top of her game of late and the spin-friendly conditions in India will add more bite to her bowling. Therefore, the Australian spinner could well be Gujarat’s X-Factor in the T20 extravaganza.
