1. Shweta Sehrawat (UP Warriorz)
Following her performance in the Women’s U19 World Cup, UP Warriorz bought Shweta Sehrawat for INR 40 lakh. The 19-year-old scored 297 runs for India in seven matches with three half-centuries and ended up as the leading run-scorer in the competition.
In the high-scoring match against South Africa U-19, Sehrawat took her team home with her marvellous unbeaten 92-run knock. The skilled opening batter also played a crucial knock of 61 off 45 against New Zealand in the semi-final.
Noticing her efficiency as an opener, UP Warriorz might give her the task to open the innings for them along with her captain Alyssa Healy. The 19-year-old has played a few matches for Delhi in the domestic circuit and at the marquee event, she will look to utilise all her experience to be competitive against her opponents.
