4. Meg Lanning and Marizanne Kapp
Meg Lanning is one of the biggest names in world cricket. She has tormented bowlers with her marauding bat and amassed truckloads of runs across formats. The 30-year-old has featured in 129 T20Is and notched up 3345 runs at a strike rate of 116.26.
Moreover, Lanning is an astute tactician of the game and has led Australia to three T20 World Cup triumphs, an ODI World Cup victory, and a gold medal in the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Delhi Capitals left no stone unturned to draft the batting maestro into their side and signed her for INR 1.1 crore.
Marizanne Kapp is one of those cricketers who has made heads turn every time she has stepped into the cricket field. The 33-year-old has dismantled bowling attacks with her power-hitting might and has also been a strike force with the ball. She has scored 1140 runs in 90 T20Is and picked up 70 wickets at an economy of 5.45.
Marizanne is a game-changer with bat and ball and therefore, Delhi were inclined towards roping her into the team. DC paid INR 1.5 crore to sign the South African all-rounder at the auction.
