WPL 2024: 3 Players who were underutilized by GG

Gujarat Giants had yet another season that they would like to forget as they finished at the bottom of the points standings of the WPL 2024 season. This was the second consecutive time that they found themselves in the last spot in the league. They had some great players in their team but were not able to clinch the crucial moments and ended up suffering defeat in most of their matches.

One thing that Gujarat Giants might have missed out on was to give opportunities to the players sitting on the bench. They had some quality players who did not get enough game time this season and might have been able to influence the matches with their abilities had they been given the chance to. 

Here are the three underutilized players by Gujarat Giants in WPL 2024:

3. Bharti Fulmali

The batter was one of the more decent back-ups for the Gujarat Giants this season and showed her potential. She was signed by the franchise after an injury to star player Harleen Deol ruled the latter out of the tournament. Bharti Fulmali was brought to the squad as her replacement.

The batter, however, made most of the opportunities as she scored a vital 42 runs against Delhi Capitals during one of the encounters. She scored a total of 64 runs across 3 matches that she participated in this season. The batter was able to show everyone what she is capable of and might be retained by the franchise ahead of the next season.
