Here are the five players who justified their price tags in WPL 2024:
5. Poonam Khemnar
The all-rounder played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the opening edition of the Women’s Premier League 2024. However, she did not have a fruitful season as she was only able to play one match and did not contribute much. She was later released by the franchise ahead of the new season of the Women’s Premier League.
UP Warriorz saw this as the perfect opportunity to snap the Indian all-rounder at a base price of INR 10 Lakh. It proved to be worth the money as she was able to build the innings for the franchise and score the runs for the side when required the most. With the bat, she was able to amass 99 runs in 8 innings with her best coming against Gujarat Giants as she scored 36 runs.
