There was not much hype around Kashvee Gautam prior to the Women’s Premier League 2024 auction. But when her name did pop up during the auction, all teams wanted to have her in the squad. She was amongst the best bowlers in the Women’s Senior T20 Trophy as she was able to scalp 12 wickets in seven matches with an economy of just over 4.

This prompted the Gujarat Giants to splash the cash on the uncapped Indian bowler who can contribute with the bat as well. However, she was ruled out of the tournament just a couple of weeks before the start. Owing to an injury, Gujarat Giants had to announce her replacement prior to the commencement of the tournament. Despite no showing during WPL 2024, it is likely that she might be retained for the third edition.
