3. Delhi Capitals- 8/10
Delhi Capitals (DC) spent 2.20 crore in the auction and picked up three players. The 2023 runners-up splurged INR 2 crore to get the Australia all-rounder Annabel Sutherland. The Aussie looked stellar with both the bat and ball for Melbourne Stars in WBBL and grabbed DC’s attention.
Sutherland emerged as the most expensive buy at the event, along with GG’s Kashvee Gautam. DC also roped in the wicketkeeper batter Aparna Mondal for INR 10 lakh. In the marquee tournament, DC will heavily bank on their star players Meg Lanning, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Marizanne Kapp to extract effective results.
In-form Annabel Sutherland’s addition will also help the side as the 22-year-old will not only add more strength to the batting unit but also bolster the side’s pace attack. Jess Jonassen and Radha Yadav will carry the responsibility to reinforce the spin department.
