<p>WPL 2024 witnessed some great matches which were close. While many matches were rather one-sided, some of the matches were nail-biting and the fans were entertained. Individually, players tried their best and put their best foot forward to win matches for their teams. Many players had brilliant outings for their teams in the 2nd edition of the WPL. Such players were backed by their teams.</p>
<p>However, some players had a bad outing. Some of the players struggled to get going in the early stage of the tournament which led to them getting dropped. Some of them struggled the entire season despite getting backing from the management. Some others were terribly out of form and cost their teams some matches with their performances. WPL 2024 was not good for some players.</p>

<p>Renuka Singh Thakur burst out in 2022 where she was highly impressive for India. In her maiden tour of England, Thakur displayed a good mastery over swing bowling. It bagged her a maiden contract in the WPL. RCB women's franchise bid for the right-arm pacer. 2023 was not a good tournament for RCB.</p>
<p>None of their players seemed to be in form. They ended the league in the last spot. <strong><a href="https://www.crictracker.com/cricket-players/renuka-singh">Renuka Singh</a></strong> had an average outing in 2023. In the 2nd edition, she was rather poor. Without a swing, she looked ordinary. In ten matches, Renuka managed to claim just two wickets at a terrible average of 113, at a bowling SR of 84, at an economy of 8.07.</p>

<p>At one stage, MI women looked good to defend their title. Some of their players like Harmanpreet Kaur, Amelia Kerr, and Shabnim Ismail played well. However, their key players like Hayley Matthews and Nat Sciver-Brunt were not in good touch. It cost MI women the season as they lost to RCB women in the Eliminator.</p>

However, it was a sad ending for their campaign, as they looked like the best team on paper and favourites to win the league. Most of their players were in good form.</p>

With the ball, Bryce claimed four wickets in eight innings at a bowling average of 45.5, a bowling SR of 31.5, and an economy rate of 8.66.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Tahlia McGrath was in the form of her life when UP Warriorz picked her up in the WPL auction 2023. The Australian was incredible with the bat and with the ball in international cricket and won several matches on her own. She carried on the form in the WPL 2023, where she scored 302 runs at an average of over 50 and a strike rate of over 158.</p>
<p>While 2023 was exceptional for Tahlia, 2024 was unfortunately bad. She played four matches and managed to score only 27 runs. With the ball, she claimed a solitary wicket and turned out to be bad for Warriorz. She was later replaced by Chamari Athapaththu for the rest of the tournament, who did not perform well either.</p>
