2. Erin Burns
In the previous auction, Australia all-rounder Erin Burns was picked up by RCB for INR 30 lakh. The franchise gave her only one game in the competition and in that, she couldn’t do much for the side. Playing her debut game against UP Warriorz, she came to bat at number seven and scored only 12 runs off nine deliveries.
Challengers have released Burns before the auction and now, her name will feature in the auction again. The Aussie veteran’s flop show continued in the 2023 WBBL as well. Serving Sydney Sixers, she accumulated only 152 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 103.40.
With the ball, she got only one wicket in four innings at an expensive economy of 9.87. Witnessing her below-par performances in 2023, franchises might ignore her name in the auction coming ahead. Besides the dismal numbers, another fact that might go against her in the upcoming event is that she isn’t a regular member of Australia’s WT20I side.
