3. When Rishabh Pant urged Pat Cummins to hit some sixes

Another such incident involving Rishabh Pant and the Australians is from the first Test. The episode happened when Pant decided to gave Pat Cummins a taste of his own medicine. It happened on the last day of the first Test in Adelaide. Australia, while chasing a target of 323, were six down with 160 runs more to go. It was 27th over of the day, and Ashwin was the bowler for India. Pat had just come in, and Pant started chirping in his ears to unsettle the batter.

The stump mic was loud and on when it caught Pant saying, “Let’s see some sixes, come on Patty. Not going for the shots Patty? Tough to play here.” He kept on rolling for the whole of over. Howbeit, Pat with a calm head, didn’t reply to the comments and kept concentrating on his game.
