Best Batsman- Virat Kohli
Like previous few years, the Indian batting giant, Virat Kohli had a fabulous year with the bat. The right-handed batsman made whopping 1322 runs in the 13 matches at an excellent average of 55.08 during 2018. Be it at home, in South Africa, Australia or England, the Indian skipper was a nightmare to bowlers throughout these twelve months, and in the process became the highest run-getter as well.
He also went past Steve Smith on the ICC rankings to become the world’s best batsman in the longest format of the game and is still bossing the charts. The Delhi- born cricketer played some glittering knocks which mostly helped India emerge on top. One of this best innings came in the third England-India Test at Nottingham.
Kohli made 97 runs in the first innings followed by a magnificent century in the second, steering India to a mammoth 224-run victory. The 30-year-old as well as the Indian fans would be hoping for an extended good run in 2019 as well.
