Rollercoaster Ride ends!
Well, the verified tick on Twitter is gone but that has nothing to do with us. Right? We are simple cricket loving people, who can't wait for tomorrow's game. In order to get ready for that, we need some sleep. Nevertheless, see you tomorrow, folks! Goodnight from us.
Ishant Sharma adjudged Player of the Match
"I was just waiting for my chance. I wanted to win a game for the team whenever I will get a chance. Depends on what kind of plans you have ( When quizzed if he had specific plans to a certain batter). Matter of time when you want to execute your plans. There is no lucky charm in the team. We would want to win every game from here on, qualify and hopefully win the tournament," Ishant stated.
Skipper David Warner reacts to DC's win
"Finally. We scrapped our way to it. Over to Hyderabad. We are really proud of the bowling unit. We did exceptionally well to get wickets in the PP. We lost wickets in cluster. We are very honest to each other. We discussed about areas to improve upon. We played an Okay game," Warner stated.
Sourav Ganguly reacts to DC's first IPL 2023 win
"Happy to get off the mark. I was sitting there in the dugout and thinking it was like getting my first Test run (about the pressure to get their first points of the season). We were on the luckier side today. We bowled well before as well this season. But the problem is the batting. We need to go back and look at ourselves and see how we can get better. Spinners bowled well. I know we have not played well and need to find a way to bat better. We work hard with the boys and get them back in form. Be it Prithvi, Manish, Mitch Marsh. They have been important players and around for a while for their respective teams. We have a day off tomorrow and then fly to Hyderabad, hopefully it will be a good batting wicket there, it usually is," Ganguly.
Nitish Rana reacts to KKR's loss
"I think we were 15-20 runs short on such a difficult pitch. I take the responsibility for this, I should have stood there instead of throwing my wicket away. Credit to the bowlers though, I think the upcoming games will be good for us if we continue bowling and fighting like this. We were just trying to delay the outcome, but they (DC) played really well in the powerplay, that's where they won the game. We need to play well as a team. We need to bowl like the way we did today, if we manage to sort these things out, we can fight better I guess," Rana stated.

After five straight defeats in the ongoing IPL 2023, Delhi Capitals are all set to host Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday, April 20 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Notably, the home side are very much struggling with their form and are at the bottom of the IPL Points Table, while KKR started well but suffered defeats in their last two matches and with that, they are seventh on the charts.
Bowling has been a massive reason to worry about for KKR as the pacers are leaking runs for fun. Batting on the other hand has been brilliant, with Venkatesh Iyer scoring a magnificent century against Mumbai Indians in the last match. Rinku Singh and Nitish Rana are on song as well while Andre Russellβs form is declining with every passing game.
When it comes to Delhi, their batting unit is just not clicking. They are lacking rhythm, and the top-order tempo has not been great. David Warnerβs strike rate is one of the hottest topics at the moment while Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh and many others are yet to hit the ground running. Capitals will look to register their first win of the season against a sloppy KKR bowling arsenal who have not been consistent. On the other day, KKR will look to make a move to the top of the standings by winning their third match of the season.
