Goodnight folks, take care!
Player of the Match is Kuldeep Yadav for his 3-for
For a stellar showing with the ball, Kuldeep Yadav was awarded the Player of the Match. He said,
"Was tough when I wasn't fit. Got injured first game and was difficult to see the team struggling in the middle overs. Credit goes to Patrick to maintain my fitness and get me ready quickly. All three were important wickets, it was crucial to get wickets in the middle overs to control the run rate. I liked the first and second wicket, I have played a lot against Pooran and the execution for that was right. I was clear with my plans, just the length matters for me as a spinner. Very clear and confident with my skills. Whenever I feel the DRS call is 50/50, I try to push for it but when it is more 60/40 then I tend to listen to Rishabh."
Winning skipper, Rishabh Pant (DC), speaks after the game
Rishabh Pant, the captain of the winning side came forward to speak after the game. He said,
"Little relief, we wanted a win badly. I was talking to the boys saying we need to think like champions, we need to keep fighting hard. We have phases where we are not up to the mark, some individuals have to take responsibility for that. However, we stick together as a group. Some things you can control, some things we can't. I think we are getting closer to the right XI, but we've had so many injuries in this group."
Jake Fraser-McGurk speaks
The star batter for DC from tonight's game JFM was here to speak after the game. He said,
"Spent five-six games on the sidelines itching to get out there, stoked! Was just more about trying not to swing too hard and lose shape. That's what I've done over the last 12 months. I loved the one over cover, pretty happy with that. Don't usually hit many over the off-side. Batting out of the powerplay is something am contiuing to learn, it'll come with experience. I'm so happy to be here, different world in terms of cricket. Never seen anything like it, to be able to savour eight weeks, hopefully more, is amazing."

Losing skipper, KL Rahul (LSG) speaks
On their loss against Delhi Capitals, KL Rahul said,
"We were 15-20 short, should've capitalised to get 180. There was a bit of help for seamers, odd-ball was keeping low and Kuldeep put the brakes on our batting group. We fought till the end. McGurk, the new guys when they come in, was very unknown. We've watched a lot of videos of him but he hit the ball really well, credit to him. We walked in with the same kind of mindset, assess what the good areas, what pace works on this wicket and execute as well as we can. We got Warner, and a couple after the powerplay. We were in the game till the 10th over, then a drop catch and then Rishabh-McGurk took it away from us. In hindsight, can wonder if we could've done something differently [with Pooran's batting position]. Not much spin for Axar, so I thought Nicky P with the shots he has can put the opposition under pressure. We knew they had to bowl their spinners in that phase. Mayank is not too bad, he looks good, feeling good but we also want to make sure we don't rush him back in too early. He's young, we need to protect his body. He's itching to go, we just have to pull him back a little, maybe a couple of more games, before he comes back."

DC win by six wickets and 11 balls remaining.
SIX, and that does the job. DC win
A huge hit into the crowd, and DC win the game by six wickets. Tristan Stubbs hits the winning runs, and it brings us to an end of a sheer dominant display by Rishabh Pant & Co.
Win a formality now
DC are just a hit away from a win.
Just 10 needed to win
18 balls and DC need 10 runs to win. Will they finish it off in the 18th over itself? Their NRR surely demands them to do it at the moment.
Shai Hope is up and running
Hope gets off the mark, straight-away with a boundary. At the end of 16 overs, DC need 17 more runs to win with six wickets in hand. How deep will this game go?
STATS MANIA
Earlier in the game, the partnership between Badoni and Arshad was the highest in the league for the eighth wicket. Read more, here.

The ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 season continues as Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) gear up to take on Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Friday, April 12. The sides will lock horns in the 26th game of the tournament and aim to register yet another win on the board.
LSG have had quite the campaign in the IPL 2024 so far. Having played four games in the tournament so far, the side has managed to win three matches and lose just one. Currently, the team finds itself in third place in the standings, with six points to their name.
