POTM Bhuvneshwar Kumar said:
“I think that's my nature, I wasn't thinking about the result in the last over. There was no discussion in the last over, was just focussed on the process. Was thinking just about bowling two good balls, anything could happen. I wasn't thinking much, was just focussed on the process. The ball swung so much, can't really pinpoint, really enjoyed it. Luckily got wickets today. When the season started thought process was different, but it changed when the batters played in such a way,” Bhuvneshwar said.
Winning skipper Pat Cummins said:
“I am good, was an amazing game. That's T20 cricket. Anything can happen, Bhuvi excuted that last ball. You try to take some wickets in the middle. Natarajan is a good yorker bowler, fortunately we got some wickets. Played some games here, thought 200 could have been chased down. He (Nitish Reddy) sums up the conditions pretty well, he's amazing, great in the field, gives some overs with the ball as well,” Cummins said.
Losing skipper Sanju Samson said:
“We have played some really close games this season, won a couple of them and lost this one. Credit to the SRH bowlers for the way they fought back. The margin of errors is very less in the IPL. The game is never done till it is done. It was tough to bat against the new ball and when it got old, it became easier. Credit to both youngsters (Jaiswal and Parag), myself and Jos (Buttler) got out in the powerplay, they played well and got us to that position,” Samson said.

On one hand, there’s the Sanju Samson-led side, which lost just one out of their nine matches so far in the competition, while on the other, Hyderabad have broken record after record in IPL 2024 and have been a force to reckon with. When these two sides come face-to-face, Hyderabad can turn into a six-hitting capital as a run fest is very much expected.
However, there are certain things that Hyderabad need to fix before taking on Rajasthan. Their batting has been marvellous, but the likes of Aiden Markram and Abhishek Sharma have failed to capitalize on their start, which is slightly concerning. Also, they don’t have a good record in chasing, which is something that the Pat Cummins-led side needs to work on. When it comes to bowling, T Natarajan has been excellent but others will have to pull up their socks.
Rajasthan meanwhile have covered all their bases pretty well. Yuzvendra Chahal and Sandeep Sharma have been brilliant with the ball, while Trent Boult has been successful with the new ball. With the bat, skipper Samson has been terrific, which helped him earn a call-up to the Indian team for the upcoming T20 World Cup, while the likes of Riyan Parag, Jos Buttler, Shimron Hetmyer and Yashasvi Jaiswal have contributed well.
Probable Playing XI:
Sunrisers Hyderabad - Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Nitish Reddy, Abdul Samad, Shahbaz Ahmed, Pat Cummins (c), Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jaydev Unadkat, T Natarajan
Rajasthan Royals - Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson (wk/c), Rovman Powell, Shimron Hetmyer, Dhruv Jurel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Avesh Khan, Sandeep Sharma, Yuzvendra Chahal
