Marcus Stoinis adjudged POTM
"Great moment. He hasn't played here from a long time, a big moment for Mohsin, especially bowling the final over after being injured. It was very close, there are a lot of things not going your way. A couple of good overs from the spinners and Mohsin sealed it for us. We have shown that we are a real team, there no real superstars, there are different people stepping up and performing for us. We are missing KL (Rahul), but we have KP (Krunal) leading us, and Andy (Flower) has a really good cricket brain," Stoinis stated.
Krunal Pandya opens up after LSG's win
"I was having cramps, I pulled a muscle. I have always been a team player, anything for the team, so happy with the result. Mohsin has a big heart. He had a surgery and playing IPL after such a thing, then sky is the limit. It has not been easy for us, really happy to end on a good note here. Good to give them a win in this last game at this venue," Krunal said.
Rohit Sharma reflects after their loss
"We didn't play well enough to win the game. There were little moments in the game that we didn't win unfortunately. We assessed the pitch really well and it was a good pitch to bat on and that score was definitely chaseable and we lost our way in the second half of the innings. We gave too many runs at the back end and the last three overs went for a few. But the way we started with the bat we were in a good position to chase, but like I said we lost our way in the second half. He (Stoinis) played really well, kept hitting straight which is what you need to do on a pitch like this. It was a brilliant knock from him. Not sure how the calculation (about the points and NRR) will work, but we need to come out and play some good cricket in our last game (against SRH)," Sharma mentioned.

The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will cross swords with the Mumbai Indians (MI) in match number 63 of the TATA Indian Premier League 2023 at the Ekana Stadium, in Lucknow. This is an all-important match for both the teams as Mumbai would move to 16 while Lucknow would move to 15 points if they win.
The 2023 IPL has come to its business end with only a week to go for the league stage to end. However, not even a single team has qualified for the playoffs, which signals how competitive this year has been for all the franchises.
LSG pulled off a remarkable victory over the Sunrisers Hyderabad by chasing 182 runs. The visitors were asked to bowl first, who went on to concede 182 runs. In reply, the Lucknow Super Giants were off to a shaky start with them not even in the game till the 13th over.
It all changed when Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran took on Abhishek Sharma, who got smashed for five sixes in an over. This completely shifted the momentum towards LSG who continued to attack and kept the run rate under their control. In the end, thanks to Prerak Mankad and Pooran, Lucknow sealed the game by seven wickets with four balls to spare.
On the other side, Mumbai Indians have also been in sublime form with their recent outing against the Gujarat Titans showing how good of a batting unit they are. Put into bat, MI scored 218-5 (their fifth 200-plus score this season) with a scintillating hundred from Suryakumar Yadav off just 49 balls.
In reply, Gujarat were 103/8 in 13.2 overs, when Rashid Khan started to give Mumbai a nightmare. Trying his best, Rashid struck as many as 10 sixes in his knock of 79 which also included three boundaries. Even though GT failed to chase the target, the Afghanistan all-rounder ensured Mumbai don't gallop away on the overall impact of the run-rate scenario.
Consequently, this can affect MI with their remaining two games being a must-win one. Mumbai can go up to 18 points which would make them finish in the top two slot while two wins for LSG will take them to 17 points, much like the Chennai Super Kings.
