Alright.. That's that!
That's all we have for today! BIG DAY TOMORROW, IT'S INDIA VS PAKISTAN! UNTIL THEN, IT's GOODNIGHT! See ya folks tomorrow!
Winning skipper Kane Williamson said:
"Just made holding the bat a little tough. Secondary to the thumb(laughs). The guys in the first half with the ball were excellent. Was nice to build partnerships and take it deep. Midway through the powerplay we throught we can hit the deck a little hard. Good competitive wicket. Really good team performance. Lockie was outstanding. The seam bowlers were really effective. He hasn't had the good fortune. Was nice to be out there and be part of some of the partnerships. Just scrapped through the new ball," Williamson said.
Najmul Shanto in the absence of Shakib Al Hasan said:
"He (Shakib Al Hasan) is going for his scans. We will know after that. We didn't bat well. We didn't start well. We batted poorly even in the last game in the first 10-15 overs. The wicket looks good. Some bounce with the new ball. We have to bat little responsibly. If we bat a little carefully in the first 10-15, then we can do well. Our pace bowlers did well. I think the biggest improvement has been our fast bowling department. We will have to bat well," Shanto said.
Most wins against a team without any loss in WC
8 - Pakistan vs Sri Lanka
7 - India vs Pakistan
6 - West Indies vs Zimbabwe
6 - New Zealand vs Bangladesh*
Lockie Ferguson adjudged POTM:
"It was a classic team effort from the Black Caps. Everyone bowled really, created pressure throughout and then I could come in and do my role. Compared to what we had in Hyderabad this had more bounce, I tried to test it out early and if it is working then stick to it, I pushed them back and then bowled the full ball. It is early stages but nice to get three wins. We are enjoying our time and the group is being great back together, looking forward to the next game. Fortunately I have got that experience (of traveling across India), I haven't played here much here but it's nice to get around and see some pace in the wicket, playing Afghanistan here next and hopefully the same wicket," Ferguson said.
A memorable stat!

NEW ZEALAND WIN BY EIGHT WICKETS!
Daryl Mitchell finishes off in style as New Zealand win the match by eight wickets. Mitchell finishes on 89* runs. On the other hand, Bangladesh lose their second match of the tournament.
Bangladesh need to improve in the fielding department!

Six runs off the over as New Zealand are 227/2 after 41 overs.
Change in the box
I say good night to all the folks, as Koustav takes over (again).
Oh Mitchell...!!!
He seems to be in a hurry, as he hits two boundaries in the 40th over off Taskin Ahmed. NZ are 221 for 2.
NZ need 40 runs now
With 11 overs to go, NZ need just 40 runs to win this contest.
Williamson is leaving the field
Kane Williamson seems to have been hurt by that blow on his left thumb. Glenn Philips is in.
The action will continue in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 as New Zealand (NZ) and Bangladesh (BAN) will take on each other in Match 11 on Friday, October 13 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. New Zealand are coming into the game having won their previous fixture against the Netherlands by 99 runs. They’re ranked on the top of the points table with two wins from two matches with a positive net run rate of +1.958.
On the other hand, Bangladesh were hammered in their previous fixture against England by 137 runs. They’re ranked on the sixth spot on the points table with one win from two matches having two points to their name. Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by six wickets in their opening fixture courtesy of a splendid all-round performance from Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

The spin all-rounder first picked 3/25 in nine overs and later scored 57 off 73 to script a memorable win for his side. However, in the second fixture, Bangladesh conceded a massive score of 364/9 from England and were later bundled out for 227 in 48.2 overs.
Meanwhile, New Zealand have registered clinical wins in their first two matches courtesy of a stupendous show with the bat from Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra. With the ball, Matt Henry (6 wickets) and Mitchell Santner (7 wickets) have been phenomenal.
The Kiwis will be bolstered by the return of their regular captain Kane Williamson who missed out from the first two matches. The star batter has been out of action ever since his injury in the opening game of the IPL 2023 and will bring more stability to the New Zealand batting order.
The pitch in Chennai will assist spinners which is great news for the Bangladesh camp as they rely heavily on them to get the bulk of the wickets. New Zealand also have good spinners such as Santner and Sodhi in their squad who are capable of bundling out opposition quickly on helpful tracks.
The match promises to be a mouth-watering affair as both teams will be eager to take down each other in Chennai.
